Khaled Kaddal (b.1987, EG) is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher, graduated with MA degree in Sound Art from the University of the Arts London (UAL). His works integrate the discipline of sound art and moving image into an immersive audio/visual performances. His research and art practices scope on cross-disciplinary approach to enlarge the understanding of oriental art aesthetics by taking it to a conceptual territory. His work is adopting contemporary socio-political topics in relation to the sensory memory (iconic memory and echoic memory) of the human body.
The sky is high, but not for everyone
Khaled Kaddal is an Egyptian visual artist and sound performer currently based in London. His work deals with two interdependent abstractions; the "eternity of time" and the "dominion of space", in search of the stable balance of intelligence, emotions and moral judgments. He had a solo exhibition at Overgaden Institut for Samtidskunst in Copenhagen, group exhibitions at Science Gallery London, Sharjah Art Foundation, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum among others, performances most recently at Cairotronica Symposium Cairo, European Center for the Arts Hellerau and Dilston Grove Gallery London.
